collaborators

We are a small, but bright constellation of empaths, creators, and healers who endeavor to build a more just and inclusive world. Collectively, we embody diverse and intersecting identities and lived experiences that enable us to bring rich perspectives to our collaborations.

Vidhya Shanker, PhD (she/her)

Founder and Convener, Collective Knowledge Works

Vidhya is an interdependent, intersectional, and interdisciplinary evaluation practitioner, scholar, organizer, and activist. She employs an intersectional paradigm — bridging critical theories of systemic oppression with systems thinking — in her consulting practice to help others interrogate, identify, and articulate processes to disrupt oppressive power dynamics in the nonprofit industrial complex. Vidhya convenes The May 13 Group, an emerging ecosystem designed intentionally to nurture epistemic healing and wholeness in, through, and around evaluation through structurally-focused collective action, including direct action organizing.

Aisha Rios, PhD (she/they)

Founder & Learning and Change Strategist, Coactive Change

Aisha partners with change agents working to dismantle systems of oppression and carcerality — to embody more just and liberatory abolitionist futures now. From facilitation and thought partnership to their ethnographically grounded evaluation practice, Aisha weaves Black feminist and abolitionist principles, collective political education, and critical resource-sharing throughout their collaborations. They believe that learning does not happen in isolation and commits to unlearning oppressive structures in partnership with those working on the ground to advance social justice.
